It works fine it's quiet and efficient

If you own aMAC and this item isn't saving or burning it doesn't tell you to adjust your permissions I spent a couple hours with support thinking something was either wrong with burner or needed something like a driver when it was a file sharing permission. It works fine and it doesn't take too long burn files it's quite simple to operate

Great Appe drive that can be made to work on a PC

It works very nicely - writing files to both CDs and DVDs. My old drive had died, and now I"ll be able to take this one to an Apple (Mac) when my PC eventually dies - yes, it will not be obsolescent in my larger plan for eventual transition.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just another accessory that Apple makes consumers purchase if they want to still watch DVD's and burn home videos onto DVD or install software by disk. It would be nice if Apple still made laptops with built in DVD players. I can see why they don't anymore since DVD's and disks will be obsolete in about 10-15 years. Everything will be digital and transferred or viewed through USB flash drives or through download digital copies or super fast streaming.
