I like that it is so small and lightweight as well.

I'm not going used it that much but its there when I need it. And it work just great and the size is supper.

Great Apple Quality. I bought this for my Wife's Mac Book Pro. She needed a drive and since they do not have one onboard, I had to get this for her. I did not want her to have to deal with issues that other brand drives seem to have. So worth the price difference.

It was disappointing to see that new MAC computers are omitting an optical drive. When I needed to replace my laptop, because I found it still necessary to have an optical drive, I purchased this external unit to complete my basic computing needs. Seems to work well so far, but it is a bit less convenient.

This is a great addition to our Mac. The only installation is plugging in a USB port. Doesn't get much easier than that!

It does what it's supposed to do. I bought it mainly as a port to copy CDs to my hard drive. The only reason for not giving it the 5th star is that it does not support Blu-ray disks. I can't figure out exactly why Apple is so reluctant to incorporate the Blu-ray format into their machines. If there is an upside, however, it's that the SuperDrive is still way less expensive than any of the 3rd party Blu-ray drives and software that would enable a Mac to play the format.

I was at first concerned when I heard that apple had removed the disk drive from the "standard" features on their computers. Then I saw the computers had gotten so thin that there was literally NO place to put them. $79 is a bit more than "off brands" cost, but apple quality is probably worth it.

Apple disc burner. It is very slim and easy to travel with.

I was able to watch my old DVDs with my Mac book using this. Only wish the price is lower.

Great easy to connect product from apple. External connection, great for movies, burning CD's onto your computer

Thsi drive works well but I wished it had an Eject button on the drive itself

I’m very impressed with the construction of this CC DVD player writer. The case is heavy duty and appears to be made of aluminum. I have it hooked up to my iMac and so far it has operated flawlessly for both reading and writing.

Bought to go with new Mac desktop. Works as advertised. Used to copy a CD to hardrive for parents. Played well, No issues.
