I have already used this DVD drive multiple times and it works seamlessly with my Mac. Backing up photos to save it is quiet and fast.

As mentioned its a must have for Mac Book Air. Very easy to use and store. It's priced a little high, as most Apple brands make you pay for their quality.

I purchased a 2016 MBP and as everyone knows they do no have a CD Rom. So unfortunately I had to spend even more money to purchase the Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Silver for the purpose of playing DVD & CD's. It's simple to use just plug and play! It does what it supposed to do without fail. Quality is what you expect from Apple. The only thing I don't like is that it is a extra piece of equipment to carry around when traveling. Such as life when dealing with Apple.

I have only used it once but was very pleased! I was confused by the lack of a power button but figured it out. Overall satisfied!

Setup is a breeze. Its fast. It looks good sitting on my iMac's base, matching perfectly. A great feature is its rubber non-scratching-stay-put bottom.

Trying to use Apple Products on new desktop iMac and laptop. Only problem encountered was the USB vs new port had to use adaptor for it. Works smoothly and no issues. Glad to have it and can call Apple if need heal. Would buy it again.

This Apple product works as advertised. Have already loaded over 400 CDs into i-tunes with it. Also burned a few CDs with no problem.

Simple dvd only (no blueray) very compatible with Apple PowerBook. Apple has ignored updating to blueray. Classy Apple Design. Apples do player software in the PowerBook has issues.

This is just a simple cd/dvd drive made by Apple. Cosmetically it blends in with the keyboard and base of our IMACs. Works flawlessly.
