Nice addition to my new MacBook Air.

Works as it should

To make copies, I believe from now on I'll use my Windows laptop with the software I am used to using there. I wanted to avoid writing the music files to my hard drive on the MacBook Pro, but with the iTunes software I could not avoid it. So my complaint is mostly with the iTunes software. I probably need to obtain somewhere the necessary software to copy disks. Otherwise, the USB SuperDrive is a good item.

Very usefull only for some Mac models
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This device works great on my 27” iMac 5K, it’s all what you can expect from a superdrive but in a external form. The only problem is that it only works on devices that does not include a disc drive from factory, it didn’t work on my 13” macbook pro with a broken drive or in my mac mini without the internal drive. If you are looking to get this for a mac that used to have a disc drive, this will not work for you.

Just What I Needed

When I bought a new computer, I had to to get external DVD Drive. Being an iMac owner, this was the one to get. It works perfectly and its looks match my computer.

easy to use and store

Ejecting is as simple as ejecting from Macbook desktop, with newer Macbook Air there is no keyboard eject key. No issues with disc insertion. Definitely easy to use and not have weight on your Macbook. This external accessory is much more user friendly.
