This is sleek and elegant, yet as basic as it comes. Be forewarned: the drive does not "grab" your disc. You have to push your CD into the drive most of the way before it pulls it in. I actually returned this drive at first because I thought it was broken! Works fine and reads discs great. Perfect for ripping your CD collection into iTunes.

Works seemlessly with my mac mini. Does not work as well as the drive in my pc for getting music off my cds.

The super drive works flawlessly with my MacBook. The only issues is making sure that you have the correct adapter if you are using the new MacBooks with the USBC ports

Awesome drive! Connects directly to Macbook Air and can connect to Mac-mini with an Apple USB adaptor (all available at Best Buy). If you are thinking about it, don't wait...Apple has a habit of discontinuing things we like.

I think it's interesting that MacBooks are no loner made with the Super Drive. It seems that this technology is becoming out-of-date even though I still use them regularly. It's quite durable, sometimes bulky, but a quality accessory for anyone that still needs/uses a Super Drive!

Best Buy makes it so easy, I can't praise them enough for the efforts they put forth during this pandemic. It takes a lot of work and coordination to do what you do and I want you to know that I appreciate it.

The superdrive is really quite necessary now that so many laptops do not have built in drives. I create DVD's of movies and photos for clients/friends with material just too large to handle with email -- and you know the disc is going to last and not accidentally get deleted.
