I have bought this for my iMac to play some European DVD movies from "back in a day" and it didn't disappoint. Played flawlessly and I was also able to copy the movies to my iMac as well!

This device does what I needed and performs very well. However I would have liked it to come with a USB-C connection so that it would hook easily into other Apple Product without purchasing an adapter. You would have thought that Apple would have updated this device.

This works well without issues, but is pricey compared to others in the market.

Excellent -makes my laptop more versatile-easy to use

I chose an Apple Super Drive over LG due to the fact that I like Apple Products and what the sales person told me about the Apple Super Drive. I wanted to watch movies on my computer and download photos to discs for friends. I have watched movies and the SD worked perfectly.

Nice to be able to burn our favorite music on cds. Very convenient.

Nothing special but, it works without a flaw. It's all plug and play and looks nice.

I needed this because I burn movies, pics, etc. I hate that it the Pro didn't have this option built in, but had to purchase all the same. If you like doing photography stuff, movies, etc, this is a necessary addition to your Mac Book Pro.

Allows reading and writing of CD's and DVD's on a computer whose disc drive crashed.

this DVD R/W isJust what you need since Apple doesn't supply one on their system. You would think that the cost of the Mac would include a dvd player and read write unit but it doesn't. so you have to spend more to buy one.

Great DVD/CD player for price. Performed as needed.

Delivered to my home so quickly. I plugged it in and was up and running in no time at all. Could not be more pleased with the process from beginning to completion. Thank you very much.

A bit expensive for just a DVDRW, but it is good quality and works great.

I got an iMac and ran into the problem of burning dvds of family adventures. I would edit it then put it onto a thumb drive, move it over to my Macbook pro to burn it. Getting rid of the macbook so needed a way to burn the dvd's This thing work well and has no problems at all.

First time it works great, the second time each song is not in full length IDK WHY

This is a beautiful addition to my iMac, it fits in perfectly on top of the iMac base and the brushed steel finish puts the cherry on the cake, I wish this was a Blue Ray Player so I could play some Blue Ray discs, I guess you can't have everything!

Proud of the performance of this drive. Has exceeded any other drive I've purchased.

This review comes three years after the purchase, and I am still using this laptop. Without fail, I have ran this thing hard using it as a teacher and also recording and tracking music. This thing is a real workhorse!
