nice drive which I only used to load music, then off to the shelf it went. Perfect, Doesn't add unnecessary weight or size to the Mac Book Pro 13.3" w/Retina display that I purchased as well. It's a bit slow when importing CD's but that's not a deal killer. Price was right..

This is a great add on option to the newer macs if you still use cds or dvds

For all those people who still need to use a disc from time to time you're going to need this. It's an apple so it functions well & the quality is superb!

Needed because not many laptops come with drives any more works as advertised.

I use it sparingly but this component is nice to have available when the need to use it arises

Works great, happy that it is easily portable. Can also burn cd and dvd.

I purchased simply because I still enjoy a physical CD. Being that Apple has done away with drives in their MacBooks, this is essential for someone like me. Writes disc in a quick manner. Simple hook up with USB and it's a neat peripheral too.

This is a great way to save space on the MacBook by having an external disk drive!

I have a Mac system and my newer Mac Airs do not have a CD/DVD slot. I know disks are rapidly becoming a thing of the past but I gave 10 years of storage on discs. Files, reports, photos etc.

Bought this to run CDs from old products. Works fine with apple adapter.

I bought this peripheral a few years ago and it's still going strong. Reads and burns CDs, CDRWs, DVDs etc with no trouble. Very satisfied with it.

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro but it doesn't come with a DVD burner. I bought the Apple USB SuperDrive and it works great so far. I plugged it in and didn't have to do anything else. I haven't tried to burn a DVD yet but it shouldn't be a problem.

I am old school and like to burn playlists for my car. Works as advertised.

I only use one time but it work good and have it for emergency.

It was a plug and play, just plug it into the port and it was ready to go.

Plug in and go is really all it took. Very simple to use . Speed was above average

I have an iMac and it does not have any CD or DVD drive in it, this thing works awesome and quick and easy to use. Allows me to play music, movies, install software and burn CD's/DVD's whenever I need.

Works well and was easy to set up to the new mac. Had no hardware problems.

I read poor reviews on this and still took a leap of faith. I’ve been ripping my cd collection to a hard drive. Ripped about 100 cds and no problems. I am going slow though not to burn it out.
