I’ve been ripping my cd collection to a hard drive. Ripped about 100 cds and no problems. I am going slow though not to burn it out.

Another excellent Mac product

I looked at the other cheaper units available but got concerned about noise and reliability. I ended up spending the extra few dollars on this one knowing that it will work just like her Macbook and have not regretted it!

Indispensable for multimedia and entertainment

It allows us to enjoy many types of entertainment our large-screen iMac.

Allows me to play music, movies, install software and burn CD's/DVD's whenever I need.

sleek and simple

Perfect, Doesn't add unnecessary weight or size to the Mac Book Pro 13.3" w/Retina display that I purchased as well. It's a bit slow when importing CD's but that's not a deal killer. Price was right..

Perfect addition for any MacBook Pro

Being that Apple has done away with drives in their MacBooks, this is essential for someone like me. Writes disc in a quick manner. Simple hook up with USB and it's a neat peripheral too.

Cd drive

If you have a newer Apple computer, you may need an adaptor to be able to plug it into the computer. There is no eject button on the drive itself, but cd’s can be ejected by pushing the eject button on the computer screen
