Just a good slim basic external drive matches my macbook

A super drive to let you retrieve all your old off-line files with your new Mac. It comforts my wife that she could do this even though all that stuff has been stored up in the iCloud for over a year. Quiet comfort is my goal.

Easy to use. Great to have when you want to download old school cd's.

Perfect to mate with your apple computers without built in hard drives!

Every laptop I have ever owned came with a built in optical drive.It is very hard to find one now.All of the new laptops that I looked at do not have a built in optical drive.I bought the Apple super drive and so far it works great.

I had an issue with it initially where I couldn't get it to work on my MacBook because of region timezone setting etc. I had to set it up on a different MacBook in order to get it to work on my Mac. Wish it reads blu-ray. Otherwise works well

I replaced an LG DVD/CD drive with the Apple Superdrive for my IMac desktop as the LG's audio recordings were flat and sounded like it was monaural. The Apple drive's sound was a great improvement, and the extra cost was worth it.

This external drive goes great with those who have a MacBook Air and are looking to connect any kind of CDs. The USB connection is simple and does not require any work to connect.

I went to Apple because is is more reliable. Had an LG Drive that did not last long at all. Even though it is a little more expensive I have never had trouble with an apple drive before so I went back to Apple.

The SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer Dvd±rw/CD-RW Drive by Apple is the best DVD drive I have used. It reads older DVD and CD disks that I thought were dead because they were not accessible through other drives that I have on PCs.

IT'S UNFORTUNATE THAT WHEN WE BOUGHT THE "NEWER" VERSION OF THE SAME MAC PURCHASED 2 YEARS AGO - THAT THEY CHANGE STUFF JUST TO MAKE IT THINNER. SO YOU GAIN A THINNER COMPUTER, BUT NOW YOU HAVE TO BUY THE EXTRA EQUIPMENT. NOT SURE IT'S ALWAYS WORTH IT

I purchased this to upload old cds from high school into my computer.

Daughter needed for college. Works well as MacBook has no internal dvd drive.

This external DVD/CD drive had to be purchased since the new iMacs do not have an internal driver anymore. The drive works well, doesn't overheat and has a reason download speed that allows quick copies of cds to iTunes. all-in-all, a reasonable performer under $100. One improvement would be that it could be used with my windows laptop for work on the road.

A must have easy to connect and use not bad in price completes the mac
