This product is a great addition to the Mac computer for college students. My daughter is a graduate student in a psychology program and needs to keep interviews confidential. Having this external drive for her Mac allows her to do that.

We got this with the mac book and love it. Works great and no issues.

Accomplishes what I needed out of it, so I am happy with it.

So far it has worked great. I just wished it was included with my new iMac.

I am very happy with my purchase. I really wish that it came standard with the IMac for the amount of money I paid however I am still satisfied with the stand alone option.

Apple DVD drive - a needed accessory. Apple should make more adaptable products that do not require so many connectors and adaptors, but has worked well.

You can never go wrong with Apple and if you find a refurbished model you know it's as good as brand-new and Apple and Best Buy always back up their products!

I find this product to be very easy to use and virtually maintenance free.

This is the perfect accessory to buy if you get a MacBook! It can be easily plugged in to utilize your CDs or DVDs. It's slightly bulky so it'd be a little more difficult if travel was something the computer was used for.

Exactly what it states it is! Great disc drive. I will echo the sentiment from others and say I wish the cable could disconnect. It would make it more portable. Nonetheless, a great Apple product.

This product does it's job, but it's a little over priced.

I selected the Apple over other generic drives based on the quality of workmanship. The Apple drive is metal, while the others were made of plastic. The Apple drive has an integrated USB cord so you don't worry about finding it.

While I enjoy that it looks like all my other Apple stuff, the fact that it's so expensive without playing minidisks or Blu-Rays is a little bit disappointing. This is probably long overdue for an update. It's exactly what's advertised, and it works flawlessly - but it's not great value for the money.

Having an Apple lap top I wanted to stay with a proven winner. I stay with the Apple products, they may cost a bit more but are worth it.

Good drive, easy plug and play. Runs just like a normal apple cd drive.

love the device so simple to use and no problems what so ever. plays any disc along as its not a blu ray but besides that its a great buy. would love if apple would release a blu ray drive to take full advantage of the macbook retina display.
