I needed a CD/DVD drive as the iMac I own didn't have one built in. The price was much more reasonable than I was expecting. Like most Apple products, it works well.

This is a good companion to the macbook pro purchased at the same time

While I enjoy that it looks like all my other Apple stuff, the fact that it's so expensive without playing minidisks or Blu-Rays is a little bit disappointing. This is probably long overdue for an update. It's exactly what's advertised, and it works flawlessly - but it's not great value for the money.

love the device so simple to use and no problems what so ever. plays any disc along as its not a blu ray but besides that its a great buy. would love if apple would release a blu ray drive to take full advantage of the macbook retina display.

Good drive, easy plug and play. Runs just like a normal apple cd drive.

This is the perfect accessory to buy if you get a MacBook! It can be easily plugged in to utilize your CDs or DVDs. It's slightly bulky so it'd be a little more difficult if travel was something the computer was used for.

I selected the Apple over other generic drives based on the quality of workmanship. The Apple drive is metal, while the others were made of plastic. The Apple drive has an integrated USB cord so you don't worry about finding it.

Having an Apple lap top I wanted to stay with a proven winner. I stay with the Apple products, they may cost a bit more but are worth it.

Met my expectations for Apple products - which are admittedly high.

This product does it's job, but it's a little over priced.

Works as expected. Very happy with this item and with the customer service that I have received from Best Buy. Always a pleasure.

It is unfortunate that the new IMAC 27 no longer comes with a built-in disc. So I had the Geek Squad configure my new machine for this external drive. Seems to work fine!!

Works great. Easy to set up. So far I only used it to download my cd's.

I just wanted a drive for my new MacBook that wouldn't install any extra software or junk in order to run, so I got the one made by Apple.

Exactly what it states it is! Great disc drive. I will echo the sentiment from others and say I wish the cable could disconnect. It would make it more portable. Nonetheless, a great Apple product.

Nice form factor, but slow and expensive. Decent but not great purchase.

I was disappointed that my IMac 27” didn’t come with a DVD burner but after voicing my displeasure to the sales person she told me about the Apple DVD burner. I am enjoying another great product from Apple.

I was a little bummed that none of the new Mac's have a drive designed in them, but this works well. As a doctor I need this function to be able to see imaging that my patients may bring into my office. This solves my problems.
