    We use this DVD player almost 3 to 4 times a week. It's very reliable and works fine as long as you clean the lense inside the machine which reads DVDs or music.

    The Apple SuperDrive works great, but it sure is expensive. I would also have expected a nice case since it usually needs to stay in a drawer or be carried separate. It is amazing that Apple can get people to pay such a high base price for Macs, especially when the required accessories are so expensive.

    It is slower than the drives I had in my 2009 MacPro, it also has some issues with not being able to read some discs. I fired up the MacPro and didn't have any issues with the disc it wouldn't copy. But it's nice having the option of the drive with my iMac.

    I bought a new MacBook Pro and it does not have CD/DVD capacity. I tried another cheaper brand, but it was unsatisfactory. What was I thinking, the Superdrive 8x External DVD±RW/CD-RW drive is the companion that I needed.
