Icon on my screen disappears unless there is a disk installed. I do not not if it is supposed to be there all the time. Product works fine.

It does NOT disappoint. Totally worth my money even if it is a bit pricey. I am always scared to hook up non-Apple products to my Mac, so I made sure to purchase this Apple product. Better to pay $70 than buy something cheap and mess up a $1000 laptop.

Solid, beautiful and easy to use

It is extremely easy to use and beautiful to look at, just like my MacBook. I use it a lot to load music from CDs to my iTunes account. Unlike with my iPhone and iPad, iTunes doesn't automatically show that the drive is attached until you load a CD into it, so don't panic. Read the instructions that come in the box (of course I didn't until I had to). Unbeatable value actually and I'm very happy with it.

DVD player - Good Fit!

Only problem encountered was the USB vs new port had to use adaptor for it. Works smoothly and no issues. Glad to have it and can call Apple if need heal. Would buy it again.

It works perfect, I just leave it plugged into the back and can use anytime I need it.
