Only used it a few times but its good works every time.

Needed for users to burn DVD's. Works well when needed

As the title of my review would imply, this drive is just fine for late model MAC computers. I won't know how this will perform until I own a newer MAC though as I had purchased this for my 8-year old iMAC which I found out after my purchase is incompatible with this external drive. Needless to say neither the folks at the store or myself had no idea until I brought this home and found out the hard way. My suggestion would be to research this first before you buy this to see if your computer is compatible. I decided to hold onto the Superdrive I purchased for when I upgrade to a newer MAC in the near future. One would have imagined that with a name like "Superdrive" you could leap tall buildings in a single bound or at least be compatible with any MAC computer even if it's a little older. Nah, guess not. They should have called this the Millennial Drive instead...

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro, and unfortunately it did not come standard with a CD/DVD drive. However, the price was worth the additional purchase.

We needed an external CD-ROM for our Apple product and the associate assisted us with the correct product, information on it and had us on our way quickly. As usual, excellent customer service and satisfaction.

This drive works great. It was easily installed. Just had to plug it in the back of the monitor. Looks neat. I just think the computer should have been made with one in it so that I didn't have to purchase it separately.

I still rely on disks and I prefer an onboard drive.

Simple to connect and use; most use for importing CDs into iTunes or software use; However to call it "Super Drive" without Blu-ray support is overstating entirely.

Necessary purchase for previous owned software. Had recently purchased software and my very old Mac that needed to be replaced. Didn't want to purchase a new download, so I had to purchase.

The drives works seamlessly with my iMac. Good build quality as well.

This portable cd/rw drive is a must have if you own an apple that does not have one. The cost is very reasonable for what you get. You will not b disappointed. You can use with all your apple products.

Great, portable device! Works well with my Mac Book Pro when it comes to quality DVDs that are easily playable on Blu Ray or DVD players.

This drive will serve multi uses for me to review my medical information even though I may still have questions. I will also use to watch movies. I'll be better able in 6 months to review thus item.

My older Apple SuperDrive failed after many years of use. This one is a replacement, and it works exactly as the original one did. As expected, this drive does not play Blu-Ray discs.

I still watch DVDs on my computer so I was hesitant to buy a Macbook without a disc tray...but then I came across this and bought the newest Mac instead. Thank god I did! This external DVD player is fantastic!
