Will be great for when we are traveling and when I am sick in bed. I hate being sick and with nothing to do.... I can watch any movie I want and be comfortable.

It does exactly what you would expect

But I still have lots of items on CDs/DVDs that I need a drive. So far, so good. No problems with it whatsoever.

device only functions in MacBook with no DVD even

I bought the drive to replace the internal DVD. My mistake,but it wasn't stated in the online write-up. I returned it for full credit & got the correct drive assisted by Kim sales consultant in Yonkers store.

This SuperDrive enables these functions at a reasonable price.
