I don’t use a DVD with my computer very often but it’s nice to have the option. Read/write makes it even better. Don’t forget the USB-C adapter if you have a newer laptop

As always, Apple products are the best as I have owned a MacBook Pro for many years. So I traded the old off for a new one and I am very happy with my purchase.

A bit disappointing Apple doesn't include these in the hardware setup anymore but it works as expected and is dependable as any other Apple product.

I recently purchased a new iMac and was disappointed to find out it was without a DVD drive. This drive seamlessly connects to the iMac via USB and it's like I never lost that function.

Apple---Super Drive is an item I really needed. Thank-You Best Buy Workers for pointing out to me the correct Drive to buy.

I have not used it yet, but can't wait to try it. Will be great for when we are traveling and when I am sick in bed. I hate being sick and with nothing to do.... I can watch any movie I want and be comfortable.

I had purchased one for my other iMac. At first I thought well I already own one. But always good to have a spare. Great price as well.

It is a CD drive. Of course, as things move more to Flash, they are going more by the wayside. But I still have lots of items on CDs/DVDs that I need a drive. So far, so good. No problems with it whatsoever.

I purchased this drive about a month ago an I have no complaints. I use it to play dvds for my son (of course I would have loved this to play Blu-ray but it doesn’t). I also use to put pictures on disks. I always seem to loose the little thumb drives so disk storage is the route I prefer.

This works good for a portable external usb disk drive.

Device only works when MacBook has no DVD even a broken one. I bought the drive to replace the internal DVD. My mistake,but it wasn't stated in the online write-up. I returned it for full credit & got the correct drive assisted by Kim sales consultant in Yonkers store.

The latest version of the Mac Mini computer comes without a DVD drive which makes it impossible to load some software or to burn CDs from iTunes. This SuperDrive enables these functions at a reasonable price.

With many computers not coming equipped with CD players/readers. It's a good thing Apple still makes this as an accessory. Especially when archiving your old CD's into a playlist.

This item doesn’t work with all Mac computers specially older models. If you cannot insert a disk once the burner is installed, it is not compatible. Check specs first

Good - EXCEPT that every once in awhile a cd gets "stuck" and it's quite frustrating as to how to get it out. There is no emergency button for such a problem should it occur as in other devices I've had. I ruined my first one, but used my second one more smartly.

Although nowadays almost all software is downloadable from the internet, it is great to have this drive when you need it. I do wish it offered a little more speed, but it is very serviceable.
