    MY iMac (2019) didn't come with a drive so I bought mine at Best Buy... Works great,plug & play.. Only downside it will not do Blue Ray.

    Not having a CD/DVD drive may help with weight and size but left the Macbook without a level of functionality that was sorely missed. Adding this peripheral has been of great benefit.

    Having used a pc for burning often, this was my first device to attach to a mac. Using it to import physical CD collection and the burn time seems much longer than it was on a PC. Otherwise excellent product just realize you are paying for the Apple name with a good portion of the cost.

    It's too bad Apple computers no longer have super drives but that said, this drive works exactly the way it was intended. It shows up instantly, operates quickly and flawlessly. Reads and writes fast.

    Worked very nicely once I got the correct usb-c digital adaptor. Tried with the Insignia one and kept telling me device needed power. Once I got the apple adaptor , worked immediately.

    This DVD player/recorder covered all the features for handling data, music, and movies. It's low power so it runs completely by the USB supply without an external adapter to loose.

    Used this to upload pictures from a photo session from a CD. The only problem with Mac books is they don’t have a disk drive and this completely solves this problem

    I just purchased a new Mac Book Pro and realized it didn't have a CD drive. I had just purchased Rosetta Stone and needed to load the CD's into my computer. Love this portable drive. Plug in and go!

    I have had no issues to date and have used over thirty times since buying two months ago. I have older mac air so the connection wasn't an issue. It may be for newer macs.

    The connection on this item is a usb connector which makes no sense since the new laptops do not have any USB ports. You need to purchase and additional adapter to connect to the laptop to use a USB port to use the external cd drive. It’s very over priced. It wouldn’t read my dvd it made you select a country of origin and which I did and wouldn’t work. Not compatible with some DVD’s it wasn’t allowing it to work with my new apple laptop. Such a headache. It’s very bulky and heavy. Don’t buy it get a less expensive one it will still work. Even Geek squad had issues.
