Had to settle on this product because I originally wanted a Blu-Ray drive for my MacBook but all of the drives do not include the software. The software is another $20-30 on top of the price of the drive, so I just bought this instead until Apple finally creates an update or a new drive that plays Blu-Rays.

I use this for uploading all of the old CDs I have bought in the past. It also was a must have for the language program I have bought and never started to utilize. No excuses now. Caio.

very easy to set up and use,matches imac perfectly

So far havn't noticed anything extra ordinary about it but its been working fine... Its almost mandatory to buy this I guess when you buy an iMac. (if you need to install software from Cd's)

There is no difference between the Apple product and any other exterenal disc player. Cost double and does nothing new.

I liked the product and had borrowed one from a friend to use with my MacBook Pro. I was told by the salesman that this product would work with both PCs and my MacBook. That was not the case. It did not work with my wife's new Toshiba notebook. I returned it for a similar LG model that works with both.

Sturdy enough to live in my carry on while I travel. Allows me to watch videos on flights as well as install needed software on my laptop

My daughter needed this for her computer because it doesn't have a CD drive. It works well and makes her job easier instead of having to go to the library everytime she needs to use a CD.

I got this in the hippies it would work with my old 2011 MacBook Pro but it will not the blue shirt was wrong on this and I will be returning tomorrow it probly would work with my 2020 MacBook Air but I didn’t need it for that

Good product but please note that you cannot connect this to HyperDrive - USB Type-C Hub. You must use a standard USB-C.

Excellent product helps with storage and full use of laptop

Very easy to set up and use. Very fast data transfer both ways. Not really thrilled with it being an external drive and not attached to the laptop

I felt I needed this since my MacBook Air doesn't have a DVD/CD drive in it. And I have DVD's and CD's I want to put on to my Mac. Plus I can also put my pics and some other data on to a CD or DVD now, which I like to do.

This has been such a helpful addition to my MacBook. It allows me to do things that my other Dell already does, but with the ease of Mac....

I bought a 15in Mac Pro laptop and to my horror it did not Have a internal drive. Brought this external drive and it is working to sync my cd's and DVDs.

We purchased this for our daughter. She has a MacBook Air and kept asking for an external drive. We got it for her and she's as happy as a clam. She can now watch her movies!

I wish this device was built into the computer but that is a design issue. The product works great for people looking at something to buy.

Works extremely well as one would expect from Apple. The cost was the only reason we considered competitor products; it was practically twice the price. So, if you're not a total Apple Geek, save your money and get a competitor's product. After all how much do you use these things today? Not much...

If you need an external DVD drive for your Apple computer, look no further. Its small, thin, easy to use, easy to store, everything!

While I am not enthused by Apple's deletion of DVD drives in their laptops - this is a solid device that is well crafted and appears to be well built (and is priced very well).
