My new MacBook doesn't have an optical drive included so this was necessary for the work I do. Does the job, but a little annoying, having to remember another piece of hardware.

The Best Buy Its Apple,,, no more to say... and I got it at a great price

Purchasing the Apple superdrive got me operational as before with my laptop. I can continue to download music to my iTunes library and watch dvds once again.

I bought a new IMac and it did not have a CD/DVD Drive so I looked at reviews and decided on this one. Quality is pretty good, I would definitely recommend it for the money.

I use this primarily in my business to make copies of evidence for the attorney's for whom I do work. It meets all of my needs.

I you have a new iMac, this is a must have item. You can burn CDs and DVDs as well as use it as a regular cd drive for installing software.

Works great once I got it set up. They should have more instructions on install. You would think the Apple logo would be on top, but it needs to be on the bottom for it to work.

This was purchased as a gift for a high school graduate going off to college and she was quite pleased!

The drive does exactly what I want it to do. I needed a CD burner for music. The only frustration I had was I had to learn the keystrokes on the keyboard first.

A little overpriced compared to other brands but the quality seems to be worth the upcharge. Especially if it's a Mac. It just works.

Elegant CD-DVD drive that fits right on the base of your iMac. Essential now that these drives aren't built into computers anymore.

i just needed it to burn cd's to my iTunes. haven't had any problems.

Needed this to convert a few files was unfortunate that I has to purchase this for that purpose but didn't have another choice. Overall pretty product just as all Apple products are.

This was an additional addition. I like it becausevi can show or play cd and dvds to enhance my lessons in the classroom.

From my very first iMac to this DVD player, I simply love Apple from head to toe. It's beautiful, it's functional, It's wonderful world for I have Apple!

My only complaint is I had to purchase separately from my iMac. But then again, all I have owned was laptops over the years so I was under the impression that this would be standard.
