    Very reliable disk drive for any Mac. For newer Mac's, that support USB-C, you will have to adapter, which you can find elsewhere.

    Purchasing the Apple superdrive got me operational as before with my laptop. I can continue to download music to my iTunes library and watch dvds once again.

    Overall the product met its specifications. The only problem I have with it is that computer must be restarted before its use. It just will not accept the CD/DVD unless the computer is restarted. Otherwise it performs as stated.

    The drive does exactly what I want it to do. I needed a CD burner for music. The only frustration I had was I had to learn the keystrokes on the keyboard first.

    I had to replace my old drive that was 10yr old usb drive plug and play can’t be access from my MacBook I will have to check it out
