I bought this to use with my Mac Mini. It has the same look as the Mac Mini and works seamlessly with it. The salesman at Best Buy price matched without me even asking. Good price.

I love this product. I bought it so that I could upload my music to my MacBook. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! :)

So got this for my Mac Mini. The USB cord is very short, but works well sitting on top of the mini. The cords also attached meaning you can't swap out for a longer one. You could use a USB hub or cord extender though. Works as expected. Blu-ray support would make this drive extra super.

I don't have a need to use this often, but because the new computer does not have a built in DVD/CD drive it was necessary to get one.

This is one of those things you have to buy if you need to use a hard wired connection. Hard wired is better then wireless every day of the week and in my case, I use it to setup networks and connecting wireless isn't an option. So at least the quality of this product is top notch .

Well, bought it since the newer MacBooks don't come with the internal disc drive, but actually prefer that compromise to reduce weight. It does its job. Just a bummer that it doesn't read BluRay... For obvious reasons. That's the only thing preventing me from a full five-star rating.

I bought this as an open box deal and it’s fantastic. For uploading music cds and watching dvds also my online textbook companions work great.

This is wonderful piece to add to my Mac mini and MacBook Air very fast quiet device. Just simply plug into your usb drive and start your dvd or cd copying or playing.

Great Apple product...but do not forget the needed usb to Mac Pro air cable...

Solid piece of equipment from Apple- I had a reward certificate so I picked up this item for $5 less than any other competitor- definitely a "Best Buy"!!

I purchased this item thinking it's Apple, so why wouldn't it work with my mid 2012 MBP? Well I was wrong. It does not work for my Mac. Other than that, I have used them before and they're great.

While I really liked having a built in CD player as was the case with my older computer, this peripheral works really well.

80 bucks is too much for something I've used less than 10 times for installing my programs. I'm only keeping it for future use but right now it's just on display on my desk.

I had issues with the first item received; iMac wouldn't recognize that it was connected and I couldn't eject the blank disc. I took it to my local Apple Store and they replaced it with a new one which has been functioning correctly so far (fingers crossed!)

I just bought a new iMAC 4K Retina Display 27" computer and needed a DVD writer to go with it. This does the job very well.
