I love this super drive! It has worked well to load CD's into iTunes, as well as to watch DVD's, and to burn playlists for a class I am teaching!

This Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer Dvd±rw/CD-RW Drive works very well. We have not has any problems with it and it does what it is supposed to do.

Purchased this external SuperDrive when my internal one stopped working. Rather than. Spending a fortune to replace it. This was a quick fix at a great price.

My daughter loves her Mac Power Book-me, not so much. Pay $1600 for a laptop and your have to buy an external DVD drive? It had to be an iDrive so it would "match," when I could have gotten any other brand for half the price.

Completely intuitive, just ":plug and play." My only suggestion would be a removable cable instead of the built-in one.

If you are looking for a cd drive for your IMac company this is definitely the item for you.

Bought this because Apple doesn’t include these anymore. It works but somehow still no Blu-ray lol

This external drive is perfect for my needs, I have it when I work with a CD or DVD but don’t have to carry the weight when I don’t need it.

I would recommend this dvd drive if you want to play or record DVDs with your Macbook. Great price for this convenience.

(good idea) instead of having it built in the computer, if it ever breaks i don't need to bring my computer in to get fixed !!! a lot easer to get a new one

This is needed if you wish to use any type of CD for the iMAC. It is also a burner itself so that is very helpful. Its lightweight and makes a great addition.

Plugged it in and it worked! Doesn’t get any better than that.No instructions,no diagrams,just plug it in!

I don’t understand why the new iMacs don’t come with cd anymore... but I happy they have the option to purchase

So far the thing is rockin' no complains but I have only had it for a few months. My expectations from the ppl at apple are usually high, so will continue to monitor....

It took me a little bit to figure out how to eject a DVD, but that was me getting used to my MacBook. It's nice to have if, like myself, you have kids and a lot of DVD's.

I got this item as an add on to my MacBook purchase I've to say that is do great. The only problem is that there is no eject button but when it comes quality this is it.
