I have used this drive repeatedly and it has worked perfectly every time. It did not require any setup on my MacBook Pro. I highly recommend this item.

I purchased in order to load CD's onto MacBook Pro. It is not as fast as I had hoped but all external drives seem to be slower than somebuilt-ins.

The people AT Apple Always looking for ways to get that extra buck out of the sucker.Make the burner an option.That got someone a little more in their Paycheck.Ha,Ha..... The SuperDrive works as intended.

Great Apple product...but do not forget the needed usb to Mac Pro air cable...

I had a scratched dvd that won’t play in regualr DVD player or other brand dvd device but it played well in this dvd external drive....loved it

Read negative reviews, but my experience was positive. Took it out of box, plugged it, turned on iMAC, it works.

I really enjoy this product! I love having CDs for my music and it downloads them fairly quick onto my itunes. Would buy again in a heartbeat

Works great! Does exactly what i need it to do. Don't know why Apple doesn't have CD drives in their units. They're not totally obsolete. Yet. :-D

Provides a good source for listening to CDs and DVDs. Miss that functionality on the newer Macs.

Works well with my Mac. I didn't have a problem with any of my DVDs. I still would like to see if I can create DVDs from personal pictures.

What can I say. It's an apple and it's pretty perfect. Does the job...copies CDs and creates new mixes. Love it!

This is my second MAC. First was a laptop a few years ago. This will replace my old windows pc. Setup was simple. Not much documentation with it but so far it is great.

Great looking APPLE CD/DVD reader & burner for the Mac. It has worked flawlessly reading my library of 100s of audio CDs into iTunes. The only thing that would be nice is BLURAY capability from an Apple external drive. (BLURAY not yet available from Apple).

I don’t understand why the new iMacs don’t come with cd anymore... but I happy they have the option to purchase

I was very disappointed Apple discontinued cd drives in iMac computers and had to buy this add on one. It works.

Apple quality, portable and compliant with my laptops and i-Mac. CD & DVD player must have for my media and software library. Great accessory for any Apple user.

I wasn't going to buy this but i figured I had a lot of programs and music I could take advantage of this and for the money it was a good addition.

This was purchased to use with my new computer which did not come with an installed cd/dvd drive. Works as expected. No problems so far.

Plugged it in and it worked! Doesn’t get any better than that.No instructions,no diagrams,just plug it in!

When it comes to connectivity and added components, nothing assures me like using only Apple products to work properly. This includes reliability as well.
