This is an great drive. I’m comparing with drives I used with regular microsoft computers. This drive is superior.

Since the iMac I purchased does not have a disk drive, I purchased one, and it works great! Great product!

IMAC. QUALITY. EXCELLENT. BEST YET. WORKS WELL. WITH IMAC DESKTOP.

The device works as expected for DVDs and it's the only "sanctioned" way to get external CD data into the Mac without violating warranty. Apple is known for outstanding products and this works but certainly does not give the maximum flexibility that I want.

Works well for copying CDs onto my computer - strangely variable burning speeds, but I don’t know whether that’s the drive or the CDs themselves. Finally able to listen to all that music again!

so far so good on this it deffiently works tried it on a dvd and it was still clear pic. not a major need but good to have for college programs.

Needed this to upload CD's into my MacBook Air since a drive is not included. Uploads cd's really quick. Wish I had purchased it sooner.

I'm not sure how much longer an item like this will be relevant in our high tech world. But, I love making "mix" CDs and it's a great way to copy home videos for the less tech savvy parents, etc. I love this disc drive!

This piece was needed, especially if I wanted to watch a movie. There is not much I can do since that is how Apple designed it for their laptops

It’s a disc drive for my Mac. Something that used to come with a computer, you now get to pay $80 extra for. Yay Apple.

wanted a printer that was small and mobile and did not take up a lot of space and that worked well with my mac book. It was perfect!

I have had this unit for 9 months now. It is still in the box. Although I haven't needed to use it, the salesman highly recommended it.

It works as expected. Iv used to; upload to iTunes, watch movies DVD, burn CDs. The burn speed is good for home use. I like it. What I don't like is, I had to google how to use the thing. I had a meeting turned off that didn't let it work at first.

In terms of dead technology, there’s still reasons to have a CD player. However the built in cable, no button design is annoying to say the least. Not great. But when it’s necessary...it’s necessary.

Bought this item thinking I had use for, but just about everything now downloadable and had no use for it and I returned it.

This is a high quality item that really holds up. I used cheaper non apple brands in the past but they usually break within a year.
