    The device works as expected for DVDs and it's the only "sanctioned" way to get external CD data into the Mac without violating warranty. Apple is known for outstanding products and this works but certainly does not give the maximum flexibility that I want.

    It works as expected. Iv used to; upload to iTunes, watch movies DVD, burn CDs. The burn speed is good for home use. I like it. What I don't like is, I had to google how to use the thing. I had a meeting turned off that didn't let it work at first.

    Works great! Great price! Just connected it to my Mac Mini and it worked great. Only issue for me is it does not read Blue Ray. Oh well.

    I’ve had a few older CDs and DVDs get stuck in this drive which never did happen with the built-in drive on my previous iMac.

    Product would not work properly out of the box. Guessing there was a short in the cable. I returned to Best Buy and they replace without any problems. Thank you for their excellent customer service. NEW ONE WORKS GREAT!!
