    I needed this because I got a new laptop with no optical drive. So far this works well for what I need. I only wish it had a USB-C connection instead of the older USB. It requires an adapter.

    When I first plugged it in, my iMac didn't recognize it. I tried a few different cords then restarted my iMac and it's worked great since.
