It's slim and fast. Does not take up very much space. Very pleased with it.

I needed to rip an MOD DVD using Handbrake, so this drive along with HB were a dream team. Files ripped quickly with no issues. I have not tried it on blu-rays or CDs yet, but I'm guessing they will play/rip fine. This cost just a little more than the other drives and it was well worth the upgrade! Can't wait to really put this bad boy thru the ringer.

As advertised, I found it compatible with my Mac and PCs without any issue. I opted for the Apple version (more expensive) for the aluminum casing and the USB 3.0 option. My main use was for loading Windows on my Mac via Bootcamp. I have travelled with it and found the case to be sturdy enough to handle fairly rough handling without issue. Although I don't see much use towards the future for optical drives, a solid version that works on all platforms is nice to have.

Not a lot to say. It works well. It works instantly. Ejects quickly. Records at an average speed.

Now that few laptop brands have CD drives, there are still times when one is necessary. The Apple SuperDrive is by far the best both technically and in size, extremely thin, and the same square size as a Mac Mini. Carrying this accessory takes up virtually no space in any bag one uses. I’ve purchased several for my associates, making us all prepared for anything we may need in the area of media technology.

Easy to set up, runs really well (no complaints as of right now) and is pretty quiet most of the time.

This works exactly as advertised. It takes very little room on my desk and burns dvd's and cd's fast.

Wanted a quality drive for my MAC so I ordered this. First drive I got I had to use a screw drive to push the disc to stay in the drive. Ordered a second and it works fine. First one was either defective or got to knocked around when shipped in the envelop B.B. sent it in. I would not be reluctant to order this again.

The Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD RW/CD-RW Drive is very handy and worth the premium price as with all Apple products soley because of the ease of use and user friendly software...USB cable is simply plug and go which is nice compared to the cumbersome bs required with any other branded burner...not to mention the support for double-layer media disks which are handy for large GB storage such as HD video or backups...highly recommend...

I got a great deal on this product but I notice the cord is way to short but other then that it's cool ... It should be fast too but still a good product

Great for those old items you may have around the house hold still in CD, DVD format. I love keeping this around to be able to use as needed. Pricy however compatible with MAC. Simple to use just push CD, DVD midway and it self feeds there after and brings item on desk top ready to open files. It is very quiet and safe with all discs.
