    I purchased the solid state Mac Book Pro to avoid damage during travel. However, I regret giving up the CD/DVD driver. It's a pain to pack around and set up the drive while on the go. It functions well.

    It does what it's supposed to do, but sucks that they don't put the cd rom in the actual monitor now.

    Found it was a helpful drive and a very quiet one too. The only thing I was not impressed with was the controls for it and the fact that it didn't have a way to eject a cd once the drive is off.
