    Only the Apple brand DVD player can easily able to upgrade the firmware through Apple upgrades

    Great build quality and smooth, quiet operation. Doesn't have the sleek aluminum chassis of the Super Drive but is slimmer and doesn't have the 80.00 price tag either. Totally Mac compatible.
