    So since apple doesn't do built in drives, you will need one. Warning, apple does not pay blue ray

    I have used it to load old picture onto my Mac with no problem at all reading old CD's and DVD's created with a dell computer. Would be better if it was Blu-Ray compatable.

    It does what it needs to do. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the insignia adapter for the new macbooks so make sure you have an apple one!

    It works fine. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a manual switch to eject CDs. I rarely use it, but it's worked fine when I did.
