A great traveling companion

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one of these when I was traveling and it turns out to be a great little addition to my MacBook when I am traveling. It is one of those things that you have to think about before taking with you but it works great. The only downside is that it would be nice if it worked with my Windows PC but that is a fairly minor complaint. Other than that, love it.

Good external drive

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I greatly miss the built in SuperDrive on my old MacBook the MBP retina is so much better faster etc that having to tote the SuperDrive around in my backpack along with my laptop isn't too much of a hassle and the SuperDrive is compact and I like the short attached usb cord much better than my old external optical drive and the SuperDrive works great but wish it was a bit faster like the old 24x internal SuperDrive on my 2011 15" MBP

Since laptops rarely come with any disc drives anymore it was a great addition. Since I had disc with pics on them I needed to transfer to a USB drive.
