    After market brand ones will be cheaper but this is a nice option. Offers region changing for up to 5 times before locking in.

    I purchased this item to use with my MacBook Pro whose CD drive no longer worked. After trying to make it work I called Apple and found out that this drive ONLY works with Mac's that have never had a CD drive. I would recomend it if your Mac fits the peramiters listed above.

    Very sturdy and reliable. Wish it played blu ray also for the price too. Does not have an eject button. I would still recommend and hope they update to blu ray
