Works right from the start. Fits under screen on the stand. No problems encountered.

I think there is both better & faster cd drives, but this one suits most anyone's needs considering cd drives are on there way out.

It's reliable, easy to install, it's compatible to windows too, can read different formats.

I've tried several other models from other makers where I could save a few dollars, but it is inevitable, either something about the port on the back, or something about the flimsy extending plastic tray will eventually fail or annoy me enough to go back and get one of these, they are solid, they work, the slot-load to me is so much easier especially in cramped spaces doing laptop work.

This external disc drive seems to work great. Really simple to use and compatibility not an issue.

It's plug and play very handy for my MacBook Air. Little short on the cord length tho

Great DVD reader/writer. Works fast and smooth and decently quiet. Like the aluminum finish.

The Apple CD burner was easy to set up and use. I like its thin, slick design.

The downside of iMac is no disc drive. This one is nice and compact. Works great!

Nice size and does not take a lot of room. I have not used it much but it was easy to install.

with the new solid state memory on the macbook pro, and the lack of a internal drive, you need to have an external drive to be able to load previous software and/or to burn cd/dvds the Apple superdrive is plug and play and fast. could be a bit smaller because of the portable nature of using a notebook computer, so gets a little bulky in your briefcase.

Setting up & using the drive on an iMac was very quick & easy. Drive functions efficiently & is almost silent when running. Primary use has been to rip music from CDs. Speed could be a little faster, but is acceptable for light to moderate volume.

Nice compact slick design and it works very well. I wish the cord was switchable to a longer one

I received this as a gift - wanted to be able to play a cd and discovered by new iMac did not have an external drive. Just plug this in, wait a second and it's connected, ready to go. Check my iMac Guide for where the eject key is on keyboard, slide in my cd and sit back and enjoy a quality picture. Can also use this to back up my work but have not tried that. yet.

Love it! I'd highly recommend for Mac users. It's so easy to use and works flawlessly with a Mac.
