This is a simple product to use and to evaluate. It does what it was made for and does it well. There's not much to say about such a basic product. It performs as advertised.

Does what it's supposed to do but is on the high side for a cd drive. But it works.

This superdrive for apple MacBooks is very small and compact and very easy to use.

Needed it because of course, Apple does not believe in Cd's. no surprise that you have to purchase all these attachments to a laptop and at the end of the day, any apple device looks like it's on life support. It does the job and has been working with no problems since the date of purchase.

I bought this as a holiday present for my husband. He received it yesterday, and has not yet hooked it up. However, our kid, who worked for several years at the Apple Store, says it's a good item, so I'm willing to (provisionally) give it an acceptable rating. I may improve that rating, or downgrade it, depending upon further developments. Since my husband is a self-acknowledged Luddite (i.e. not at all computer savvy) his opinion may vary, once he's tried it out.

Unlike other external cd drives that take several minutes to install, this was a piece of cake. Just popped it in and it registered! However, it's a tad bit too pricey.

Works like a champ, and quick. No manual eject button but that's what the geniuses are for!

I bought this item for my Mom she purchased my 2nd iMac 2013 model and it didn't come with a DVD/CD drive so i went and purchased this from BEST BUY. You can use a DRIVE from another APPLE DEVICE for Example she has my 2011 iMac it has a drive built in to the side you are allowed to Access that drive from other mac devices that do not have a drive but she wanted each to have it's own drive.

Very simple to hook up and use right away! Slender build so it doesn't take up much space.

This is great with a Mac Mini as it can sit right on top and gives you CD/DVD capabilities since they stopped integrating the drive into them a while back. This drive will work with any other Mac computer (PCs require you to jump through hoops and get the AppleODDInstaller64 drivers loaded--use Google to find the driver) and is a slot loading drive which is much faster to load/unload than dealing with the slow tray.

More expensive than a standard DVD player attachment, but worth it. Many of the cheaper models either don't work or don't last. This one works well and works on a Mac.
