This superdrive for apple MacBooks is very small and compact and very easy to use.

Unlike other external cd drives that take several minutes to install, this was a piece of cake. Just popped it in and it registered! However, it's a tad bit too pricey.

I have been using this drive for the last couple of months and it works perfectly, without any issues. I wish all my plug and play devices were this good. If additional storage space available at your finger tips and not in a cloud is what you are looking for this drive will do it for you.

I bought this item for my Mom she purchased my 2nd iMac 2013 model and it didn't come with a DVD/CD drive so i went and purchased this from BEST BUY. You can use a DRIVE from another APPLE DEVICE for Example she has my 2011 iMac it has a drive built in to the side you are allowed to Access that drive from other mac devices that do not have a drive but she wanted each to have it's own drive.

I have an iMac but it didn't come with a CD-ROM drive. When I bought TURBOTAX, I found out I needed a CD-ROM drive to activate the program (yes, I know I could just go to the TURBOTAX website and do my taxes there...but I have security concerns). Instead, I bought the APPLE USB Super Drive. It does exactly what I want it to do. It plays DVDs, also. Highly recommended!

Very simple to hook up and use right away! Slender build so it doesn't take up much space.

More expensive than a standard DVD player attachment, but worth it. Many of the cheaper models either don't work or don't last. This one works well and works on a Mac.

This is great with a Mac Mini as it can sit right on top and gives you CD/DVD capabilities since they stopped integrating the drive into them a while back. This drive will work with any other Mac computer (PCs require you to jump through hoops and get the AppleODDInstaller64 drivers loaded--use Google to find the driver) and is a slot loading drive which is much faster to load/unload than dealing with the slow tray.

This external disk drive is appropriately sized very convenient to store and use.

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this one - I wanted to make sure it is Mac-compatible, easy to use, portable, and of high quality. It is all of those things - I successfully burned a DVD the first time I used it and have played CDs and DVDs with no issue. This is a very fairly priced and high quality drive for use with laptops w/o drives. Perfect for my needs with work and travel --
