    A cd drive is a must have drive. Theres a little noise that comes from it but overall great buy.

    bought it “open box fair” and it doesn’t work at all! there’s a cd stuck inside and i bought it in advance before needing it so i can’t return it. these things should be checked before letting me pay that much money for it.

    This drive is a little funny. I bought it for my MacBook Pro to add music on an external hard drive. It sometimes ejects the disc before it is done uploading to the drive. The speed of this drive is also so so. Aside from it looking cool, there isn't really much there.

    I know in older apple computers the CD drive was built in. It would be easier and sleeker to have this drive in the computer than to have it take up room on my desk. Also, can't apple just provide a button on the drive to extract the CD? But no, you have to remember to go through the computer to extract the CD. If you need a CD drive, you really have no choice.

    If you’re used to having computer with a cd/dvd drive, then you need to get one of these considering the Mac doesn’t have one. Works great!
