This drive is small, light, and fast. Allows me to add my cd's to my music collection.

Great add on to an apple unit that does not have an internal CD or DVD drive. Ejecting was a little confusing at first but very easy when getting used to finding the procedure on the laptop screen. Worked well watching video or playing CD;s and putting them into iTunes from my own collection.

simple to use but no blu-ray capability. Great option if you have a macbook air or retina.

i bought the drive for my mac mini so i could import my cd's into itunes. simple plug and play. thought about buying a different drive from another company for less money for what i was doing but i like apple products. in a nut shell for me apple products just work. never had a problem with anything apple that i bought. solid build and great match for my mac mini.

Easy setup and great size. Works perfect for business and for the family.

Plug and play. Works perfect with Mac as it obviously should. Should include Blu-Ray but doesn't .... this is the big lacking feature that would bump it to a 5.0

Superdrive works great with my Mac. It is more expensive than other cd drives but I was afraid of compatibility issues with a different brand.

Satisfactory. It's beautifully sleek. I was a bit surprised it takes some pressure to ease a CD into the drive but, is small and makes minimal noise while operating.

I was happy to get an opened box superdrive so it was a few dollars cheaper. Some people might be upset that a drive isn't built into the Macbook Pro, but I enjoy that it is so much lighter and it is one less thing that might become damaged on your laptop. The superdrive is easy to set up and a breeze to use. I guess it could become awkward carrying it around, and it might be easy to lose or forget about.

great cd-rom product, connects easily to computer, small & compact

As expected this SuperDrive works great. It installed itself on my MacBook Air and it was ready to go. I think the user manual could be better, but that's not Best Buy's fault. I still wish apple would put an eject button on their drives. That being said, the read and write speeds are pretty fast. If you need an external USB DVD reader/writer you can't go wrong.

Apple has done a great job with this optical Drive. It is quiet and RW is fast too.

The apple superdrive 8x external usb double-layer dvd rw/cd-rw drive-silver is the best product for the price. It is not plastic like many other brands that feel flimsy and more easily breakable. Of course one should not bend it in half or throw it around. Just saying that it is very durable works every time for me. I like the menus that pop up for easy use for whatever function that I use.
