It's a dvd drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm less than happy that apple is limiting their format to dvd as I travel alone and with the smaller hard drives in their laptops storing movies and songs on my computer has become more difficult. Many of the places I go do not have wifi/high speed internet/internet at all.

Need a Apple Adapter

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a non-Apple Adapter from the Apple website but this Apple external DVD drive will only work with the Apple adapter. When I asked Apple Support why would they sell a non-Apple/Apple-approved adapter that doesn't work with their products...crickets. This is a high-priced drive and didn't want to purchase an additional adapter to use it in my 2019 Mac that has Type-C USB ports. Returned.
