    This drive is perfectly fine but only comes with standard USB connector which is not compatible with the new MacBook Pro that has USB C. Had to pay additional money for an adapter cord to make it work.

  • BAD experience with "open box" DVD drive

    I ordered this APPLE remote DVD drive online. It was an "open box" item but advertised as being in perfect condition. When I received it, it would not power-up when I connected the USB socket. It also would not accept my DVD. It turns out that there was someone else's DVD stuck in the drive, which I was not able to eject. All of this was a HUGE waste of time, between the several days it took for Best Buy to deliver the drive to me, and then the need for me to take it back to a local branch of Best Buy for my refund. I was annoyed by the fact that they accepted this returned item from another customer, then re-sold it to me without first examining it to be sure it was working properly. Does not show a lot of respect for their customers, just a desire to save time and cut corners. Needless to say, next time I will do my shopping elsewhere.

    Disappointed. Was told by an employee that this drive can play pc compatible games! Got home and it didn’t. Should have done more research before getting it. But I’ll still keep it for now!
