    This item was purchased for my grandmother as she still uses her disc drive but doesn't have one in her current Mac. It works how it should. nothing too fancy about it. Has a nice Apple logo on the bottom and it plays discs, what else could you want from it?

    I have only used it twice, but it operates well, once I bought an Apple Brand adapter to connect it to my MacBook Pro. On the recommendation of the Salesman, I had bought an Insignia 7 port adapter when I bought the Mac and drive. But, the drive would not operate when connected with that adapter. No fault of this drive, but my old MacBook Pro had a built in DVD drive, and I wish that was still offered by Apple.

    Works as advertised, just a little upset you even have to buy this for a $2500 machine. iMac that I purchased did not come with a disc drive.

    this works well, but I am disappointed about having to not only add this to my computer, but purchase additional peripherals to make it all work with the "new & improved" MacBook . Adds expense and clutter to my desktop
