This CD/DVD drive works great as an accessory to my iMac.

This drive is great for when you want to add music to your iTunes account, but when your wanting to burn a DVD using 3rd party apps use something else

Any of them would work but I have a Mac and wanted to pair it up with being Apple. I do all my shopping at best buy and love that it was cheaper than apple

I attached this drive to my computer neither myself or my more tech savvy daughter could not seem to get it operational . I had to return the item ! I would only reccomend this product to a real tech geek !

This device is really simplistic and works very well.

I returned a CD drive as it would not work. This was following a substantial amount of time with Apple support. I went to the Apple store and purchased the same item which works perfectly.

So simple and easy to connect & use and works great.

Turns out this item is not compatible with a desktop iMac that already has an internal drive. Should work well with laptop or newer desktop that does not come with an internal drive. Read the box closely.

The best buy salesman advised me to purchase this item to use with my macbook pro which has a defective disk drive. This product is only made for the newer MacBooks that don't come with disk drives installed.

Okay... and gets the job done, but it kind of slow and a few glitches...

I bought this with the intention of burning a video I made onto DVDs for my family for Christmas. I asked multiple people and outlets if this device burned DVDs and they all said yes and they weren't wrong. It does burn them but they only play on Mac computers! The burned DVDs don't play on any DVD device which is so stupid. I returned it and won't buy one again.

Apple super drive has NO instructions on ANYTHING!!! I bought this in order to copy dvd to my 1T hard drive or to my Apple Computer. No instructions are available. I guess you need to be an industry professional to figure out how to get anything that is promised in this product. Save your money.

Bought this because I didn't feel like buying it at the Apple Store. Didn't take the time to figure out if I needed an external power supply. Ended up returning it the same day.

I don't like the fact that this device is separate. totally unnecessary. makes the consumer spend more money. apple products are expensive as it is and the gadgets don't make it better

would prefer the laptop have internal dvd drive even with added weight but this is sleek (and expensive, in my opinion) alternative.

I was hoping to be able to use this to run DVDs on my Mac however it will not work to do that. I have since put it away and not really tried anything more with it.

I’ve had an Apple SuperDrive previously and had no issues with the item, however, a cd got stuck in the drive on first use so probably a dud.

I'm sure it works well with PC user, but for some reason Apple has not figured out how to make this two compatible. I tried multiple different ways to get it to work to no avail.
