Does what it's supposed to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for business and personal use when I changed over to the MacBook Pro Retina and it had no super drive. I attached it to the Mac and it works flawlessly. I love having my computer smaller due to no superdrive included, and if I need to upload a disc or burn one, I can take the external superdrive out, hook it up and I'm off and running. I would definitely purchase this product again!

I also decided to rip some cds, which worked fine. I did have to purchase an adapter to use it with my Apple laptop

Apple SuperDrive

Since just about everyone has stopped putting disc drives in computers, I had to have one for my Mac desktop. Since Apple products have been so good for us, I wanted to stick with their brand, and this disc drive did not disappoint. I’m very happy with this purchase.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.theres a lot of bootleg options out there, you need to be careful. just go to best buy and buy this drive so you dont have to worry about getting a fake one on amazon or somewhere else. you just plug in the usb into your Mac and you are ready to go. burns dvd, reads dvd, cds, pictures etc etc etc

Most software installs and configurations are through downloads. But there are times where I am forced to use a CD or DVD on my MacBook Pro. This external drive works great. I plug it in and it becomes available quickly. I don't need this very often, but when I do, I cannot do without it.

It's a welcome addition to my computer system. I can now watch movies or listen to a CD. Is small, slim and does not take up lots of room. Perfect for downloading pictures and music from a CD to computer.
