As usual Apple did a great job designing this product. Works flawlessly.

Solid external DVD drive from apple, it seems to work well so far. I think it's a rip off that these are not included with the purchase of a Mac Book Pro.

theres a lot of bootleg options out there, you need to be careful. just go to best buy and buy this drive so you dont have to worry about getting a fake one on amazon or somewhere else. you just plug in the usb into your Mac and you are ready to go. burns dvd, reads dvd, cds, pictures etc etc etc

Apple removed the DVD/CD drive from all there MacBooks to make them thinner and lighter. At first I thought I would miss it but realized I hardly ever use it any more. So why carry the extra weight and bulk. For those rare occasions when I do need a drive this one is Apple quality and super fast with USB 3.0

I like that this is external and not in the desktop. Easier to service and the computer runs much cooler.

Awesome drive. Purchased after purchasing Apples computer and didn't realize a drive wasn't present. My option was this and it was the perfect option. Easy to use, fast, and efficient. I would recommend this product to anyone. All my apple products now work together seamlessly. If you find yourself in my predicament then this drive is for you and move on with frustration of not having a drive.

Took off a star for price. This has worked fine with adapter on new MacBook Pro. Importing some new and old CDs into iTunes w.o any issues.

It works great. Slim and portable. No need to keep it level.

As an IT engineer, most everything I do is wireless. Most software installs and configurations are through downloads. But there are times where I am forced to use a CD or DVD on my MacBook Pro. This external drive works great. I plug it in and it becomes available quickly. I don't need this very often, but when I do, I cannot do without it.

Great addition to my iMac. It has to be attached to one one of the factory ports but that was not a problem

This is a great DVD/CD drive. Since just about everyone has stopped putting disc drives in computers, I had to have one for my Mac desktop. Since Apple products have been so good for us, I wanted to stick with their brand, and this disc drive did not disappoint. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Nice option for use with Macs, as they no longer come standard on the laptop or the desktop computers. For those of us who still need this option, this is a great product.
