This product great fast quiet and it will read alomost anything you through at it.

Satisfactory. It's beautifully sleek. I was a bit surprised it takes some pressure to ease a CD into the drive but, is small and makes minimal noise while operating.

As expected this SuperDrive works great. It installed itself on my MacBook Air and it was ready to go. I think the user manual could be better, but that's not Best Buy's fault. I still wish apple would put an eject button on their drives. That being said, the read and write speeds are pretty fast. If you need an external USB DVD reader/writer you can't go wrong.

As usual Apple did a great job designing this product. Works flawlessly.

I was happy to get an opened box superdrive so it was a few dollars cheaper. Some people might be upset that a drive isn't built into the Macbook Pro, but I enjoy that it is so much lighter and it is one less thing that might become damaged on your laptop. The superdrive is easy to set up and a breeze to use. I guess it could become awkward carrying it around, and it might be easy to lose or forget about.

Apple has done a great job with this optical Drive. It is quiet and RW is fast too.

The apple superdrive 8x external usb double-layer dvd rw/cd-rw drive-silver is the best product for the price. It is not plastic like many other brands that feel flimsy and more easily breakable. Of course one should not bend it in half or throw it around. Just saying that it is very durable works every time for me. I like the menus that pop up for easy use for whatever function that I use.

The cd/dvd player and recorder is very fast and works with ease.

I bought this for business and personal use when I changed over to the MacBook Pro Retina and it had no super drive. I attached it to the Mac and it works flawlessly. I love having my computer smaller due to no superdrive included, and if I need to upload a disc or burn one, I can take the external superdrive out, hook it up and I'm off and running. I would definitely purchase this product again!

Solid external DVD drive from apple, it seems to work well so far. I think it's a rip off that these are not included with the purchase of a Mac Book Pro.

theres a lot of bootleg options out there, you need to be careful. just go to best buy and buy this drive so you dont have to worry about getting a fake one on amazon or somewhere else. you just plug in the usb into your Mac and you are ready to go. burns dvd, reads dvd, cds, pictures etc etc etc

The SuperDrive is a classic. The ease with which it is powered by simply plugging into a usb port couldn't be easier. The simplicity of use is so straightforward, simply insert a disk and it does the rest. Ejecting a disk is easy as well. Overall a great piece of hardware. Well done Apple.

As an IT engineer, most everything I do is wireless. Most software installs and configurations are through downloads. But there are times where I am forced to use a CD or DVD on my MacBook Pro. This external drive works great. I plug it in and it becomes available quickly. I don't need this very often, but when I do, I cannot do without it.
