I have been unable to use it yet.

I asked if anything had to be installed or downloaded. I was told no. I have been unable to watch a DVD on this because when I plug into the USB it doesn't play. No screen pops up and I am unable to use this product S I had hoped.

Needed because new MacBook had no drive.

Geek Squad couldn’t get other drives to be recognized. Other drives worked just fine with 2011 MacBook Pro. Apple super drive is extremely slow on reading and writing.
