    I purchase this item expecting it to work as well as my old Mac DVD player. It records pictures onto CD's well enough. The issue I have with it is that it took 20 minutes for the player to read and bring up the 150 pictures I had copied. Needless to say this is very frustrating.

    I purchased this for my 2020 new apple mac It doesn't work with the unit. you can use it on older macs, just not on the newest version. It works on my Google chrome book, yet I did not purchase it for that unit

    I purchased this hard drive for my photos. It worked great on my PC, but not on my Apple computer. It keeps telling me that i have to register the hard drive, but I have already done so. Very frustrating!

    If your Macbook Pro has an internal unit already. Well, an external will not work. A list of working models needs to be listed, so customers know if it will work. I would give five stars for only listed models though.

    I returned, Needs a USB-C to USB converter cable to use with 24 inch iMac. $19 more at Apple or Best Buy. Apple needs to update the superdrive to match the equipment it sells. My previous CDC-DVD Apple drive no longer works with the 24 inch iMac.

    Purchased this external CD/DVD drive specifically to be used with my MacBook Pro. It can not be directly plugged into the MacBook Pro. Therefore, I plugged it into the hyperdrive that is plugged into my MacBook Pro, but received a message saying it needed to be powered. Took it to the Geek Squad and they tried their own adaptor first and then another CD/DVD external drive and it would not work with anything. Had to return it.
