Just what I needed to go with my new Mac. Convenient.

Buyer beware it’s not worth it not enough instruction in how to install it and save you the money/ trip In returning it it dosent work

It is not functional, it needs to be fed with extra energy. That's why it didn't work, they told me in the bestbay customer service department. I couldn't use it on my macbook pro 2022 laptop. For that, I had to return it.

Do not buy this drive if you have not updated your OS recently. It will not work with older Systems and customer support has some pretty lame workarounds that has you installing non-Apple video players. It’s not worth the money, I went back and got a cheap one for $19 that worked immediately.

MacPro was returned bec I started having problen4 diff calls to geek squad was unable to help. Brought in to store. I got the mail notification that it is ready and it was not. Waited for 4 hours and went back. Customer Service manager was rude and mentioned that do what you had to wait for another 4 hours. He was not customer satisfaction oriented. I had to return the whole think. He did not even try to save the sale. Other product FitBit, great experience.

For this price, I don’t understand why it does not have usb C cable (it’s a usb-3 plug). Also, it only reads and writes standard discs & DVDs. This does not support Blu-ray Discs.

Did not work for my current Mac device. I had to return it.

Out of the box we found out that it would not work with iMac with broken CD drive. Returned immediately.

Hard for computer to recognize. It easily comes off the USB port.

My iMac a notice that stays in the middle of my screen ( Finder quit unexpectedly while using the Finder plug-in). I was told it could take 3 or 4 days to get it back. I 'm in the middle of high school tennis season and I need my computer to communicate with my team. So I'm stuck with working around the Finder in the middle of my screen. I paid for a new iMac with Finder problems, it should be replaced with a new one.

Product did not work on my macbook pro - i brought it back to exchange - it didnt work again Infound out after trying to troubkeshoot that this may be a chrnic problem and the consumer may need to enter special codes to allow devixe to work I asked 2 staff at bestbuy if they knee anything about the problem but they disnt know / i returned the product just the other day

works well and is dependable. Ejecting a troubled disk at times can be a problem, but it works well.

Purchase this DVD drive for my new Apple laptop and was and able to use it due to the new ports that the new Apple laptops offer this is the standard USB drive does not work with the new Apple laptops wouldn’t recommend you purchase this considering you would need to get an adapter

Don't waste your money on this one people. You can get a non apple dvd drive for 30-50$

The Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive is a good drive.

Will not work with M1 chip if you are running the latest OS. I was told by Apple c/s that this will most likely be corrected in a future OS update.

Item delivered yesterday.Keyboard does not work. Will not pair with computer. Bestbuy does not answer their phone at all at their store in Conway Arkansas.

I was very disappointed that the unit was defective. And because I work 6 days a week, I was unable to return the product sooner and was told you would not replace it. But Geek Squad did test it and said it was defective. I had to drive from Clearwater to Tampa to the Apple store to get a replacement.

I've had this drive for a year and a half, and the drive is no longer working. Spent $80 on the drive and it's a paper weight now.

I could not get the one i bought to work. I had to return it.
