I have no idea how to use this item. There is no manual I was under the impression that buying this product would allow me to play and record on my Mac. It doesn't seem to work! How can I get help? Thanks

Did not work with my new iMac with M1 processor. Tried numerous times with both types of USB 3 and the other one.

The Super Drive showed numerous issues on the first use. I struggled to make it work but got a number of malfunctions and error messages on my Mac. Verified by Apple Customer Care and returned to Best Buy.

Had to buy this because the computer doesn't have a drive but the discs get stuck ALOT and I have to restart the computer to get it to eject. Not worth the money. Should have bought an off brand.

I could NOT get this drive to work; the drive refused to recognize my Acer computer that I plugged it into.

This is an Apple device that is not compatible With the latest IOS (Catalina)

the old apple wiring harness / cords.. god forbid you put this thing in a bag.. cable stops working on these like clockwork

You would think the Apple dvd player would connect to the Apple laptop, right? Well doesnt work that way without buying an adaptor. Doesnt work at all with my Windows computer either. I DO NOT LIKE HOW APPLE TRIES TO PINCH AS MANY PENNIES AS THEY CAN FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS!! Makes me like my Windows laptop that much more!!

This product does not work and I need to return it. Currently, the disk is stuck in the device and it does not work. How do I return it?

I didn’t like this device because I’m not familiar with Apple products. Try to install the device on family’s computer but was too confusing so I returned it.

The Best Buy sales staff needs to be able and willing to check the capability of the external disc drives they sell. I even discussed this issue with the sales person before buying the drive.

I love this Apple SuperDrive since my iMac desktop does not have a disc drive. I put off buying it and purchased other MAC compatible external drives - one I returned and the other just broke. Worth spending a little more for the real thing. Simple to use, USB plugs into back of iMac and takes up little space. Problem with others was trying to eject a CD or DVD. Problem eliminated with Apple's own.

This is an apple product and I was sold a defective item. The CD will not inject to read!

I spent over an hour with the Geek Squad trying to get my new Macbook Air to recognize the external USB drive and finally ended up exchanging it for a non-apple product.

Bought once, it stopped working. I returned for another one. I used it to burn a couple audio cd's and it skips.

The drive could not read all CDs/DVDs I put and spat them after several seconds. There were no drive icon on Mac. I returned the drive at the local Bestbuy store.

I bought because of the reviews, but when i got it home it wouldn't burn my purchased CD'S. Apple's help line said it was because i had an Apple computer.

I have to drive an hr back to best buy and return this product because it doesn't work. I spent an hr on the phone with apple trying to resolve the issue too.

Was looking forward to create customized DVDs with this Apple® SuperDrive 8x external DVD±RW/CD-RW drive. Was disappoint... it would not work with my computer.

Super slow and laggy for how much I paid for this. Unfortunately I think it’s too late to return
