Yes it not fun having to have a separate device to have to plug into the computer. It works great and is fairly small to store away.

I wish all apple machines still had CD drives within them, but this is the perfect solution since we can't all have what we want!

Excellent...easy to hook up...no software to load, etc. Works just how it is suppose too...just like all other Apple products.

Not bad for the price. Nice design to accompany my MacBook Pro Retina. Being it's usb powered its not as powerful as a standalone external dvd burner. Also only compatible with Mac, but that's to be expected since it is manufactured by Apple.

It sucks that the MacBook airs doesn't come with a Cd drive but I'm glad I got the external one. I like it, it works great.

Easy to use, works perfect for my MacBook Air. Haven't used a lot of times but for what I've used it for so far I haven't had any problems.

With most computers ditching the CD/DVD drive, I purchased this when I got my Macbook air. Extremely fast, both writing & reading, I could have gone cheaper but I didn't want the lag in speeds. Very happy & is worth the price

I was shocked at how great this drive works after reading all of the negative reviews. This drive does a fantastic job of burning DVD's. I use Verbatim DVD's. This drive is a fantastic drive. Don't listen to the negative reviews.I read so many negative reviews that I almost didn't purchase this unit. I'm very happy with my SuperDrive

This is a nice extra for your Macbook. It is easy to use and to set up with your Macbook. Portable. As always, a nice apple product.

Bought this external drive for use with my new MacBook Air. The product works as advertised and with no issues. Reads CDs quickly.

Like most Apple products this DVD player works just great. I even enjoy opening the Apple packaging. I should have bought this Apple DVD originally because I bought a less expensive brand and it failed within 6 months.

I have a macbook pro and I bought this so I could use CDs and DVDs with my computer which does not have a drive.

Works exactly as it should. Pairs right up with my MacBook Air and it burns pretty quickly. Does exactly as intended.

This unit is more expensive than a normal cd reader/burner but it looks great and functions well.

There are not many external CD burners for Mac that I have found. The Apple Super Drive is usb 2.0 not 3.0. The read/write for CDs max out at 24x, 8x for DVDs. One cool thing is the eject key on a mac keyboard ejects the CD like it used to do on an internal drive (which is no longer in the newer macs). It doesn't open a tray for the CD, but rather "grabs" it like in a laptop or car.

I bought this is conjunction with my MacBook Air. It works perfectly and is super easy to use. Love it!

Not only is this another solid Apple product but it's fast and compliments the looks of the Mac Mini.

easy to use, works well, reasonable price. Good when no internal cd drive in the computer.
