Standard CD/DVD drive

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the new Mac Book Pro (Retina Display) and the DVD drive was separate due to the new laptops hard drive. The laptop's new hard drive is lot more stable and the entire laptop lighter. I do find it bulky to travel with the external DVD drive due to the fact that the laptop cases out there do not take this added drive into account. I have to find a separate sleeve to carry this in. But, that aside, it works like a champ!
