    Its 2020 and this drive has a permanent usb cable. First off there should be a port on the drive (preferable USB-C) so you can replace the cable if it goes bad or if you want a cable longer than the 10" one that's permanently attached. Second, all new MacBook pros have USB-C connectors and this thing is old school usb, so you have to get an adapter. This drive needs a redesign, especially considering how well done most Apple products are.

    Very reasonably priced cd drive. Needed something to download music cd's to my iMac and this does the job.

    A must if you want to access CD / DVD with your new iMac. Older versions have access ...new ones do not.

    This is a very good DVD Drive. The only problem is it can get rather loud and from the vibration. Other than that the drive works great with my MacBook Pro.
