It was easy to set up and fast the cable is short too and it looks clean too.

Using with a USB connected older 2012 Mac Mini. Not sure if you can attach an adapter to make other newer type connections. After a month it’s working great, just as expected. What I like about the drive the most is that there isn’t a mechanical slide-out tray that can sometimes get stuck as has happened with other external disc drives that I’ve owned. So that’s a plus. The drive works like an internal drive on a computer or laptop. But because there is no slide-out tray, there is no physical eject button. And an eject button is great to have if a disk is stuck and won’t eject normally using on screen commands. So that’s a minus. I guess you have to decide which is more important: no slide-out tray and no mechanical problems or a slide out tray with the added great feature of an eject button. Note: as mentioned up top, be aware it connects using USB so it might not work for everyone.

This has been a have to have for our home. We home school so in order for my son to get his computer to do as we need this device is exactly what we had to have. We have no complaints. I would definitely recommend to those in need of something of this nature.

The superdrive is perfect for my needs. Although I would like to have had an incorporated CD/DVD drive within the computer itself, it is a trade off for a more compact, lighter laptop. Just plug in the superdrive and away you go with whatever you are doing that requires this external device, super easy to use.

Great item to go with the MacBook. It's light and slim and easy to install.

I have the mac air and love all the things I could do on the go, but was always having to return home and finish my work on my desk top. With this device I can finish everything I need to do still on the go. I just plug it in and start burning dvd's. Most my work is about eight to ten minute dvds and with this device it taking about three to four minutes to burn them.

The Apple SuperDrive is essentially plug and play. As an Apple product, it integrates well both visually and functionally with Mac computers..

The dvd was very easy to install and use. The compact size is also great.

The drive was easy to setup and take very little desk space.

Say plug and play and of course goes perfectly with my other apple components. Iv'e only used it ounces far to burn some photos to a DVD. It seems to have worked perfectly. So far so good.

We needed to get a DVD player as a requirement for a college class. Apparently, teacher needs the hard copy netflix dvds (no downloadable movies available). We've tried out on another DVD so far. We will use for other DVD's. Haven't tried the feature to burn discs.
