This is such a thin device..it looks nice on my desk and is easy to work

The superdrive is perfect for my needs. Although I would like to have had an incorporated CD/DVD drive within the computer itself, it is a trade off for a more compact, lighter laptop. Just plug in the superdrive and away you go with whatever you are doing that requires this external device, super easy to use.

The drive was easy to setup and take very little desk space.

Using with a USB connected older 2012 Mac Mini. Not sure if you can attach an adapter to make other newer type connections. After a month it’s working great, just as expected. What I like about the drive the most is that there isn’t a mechanical slide-out tray that can sometimes get stuck as has happened with other external disc drives that I’ve owned. So that’s a plus. The drive works like an internal drive on a computer or laptop. But because there is no slide-out tray, there is no physical eject button. And an eject button is great to have if a disk is stuck and won’t eject normally using on screen commands. So that’s a minus. I guess you have to decide which is more important: no slide-out tray and no mechanical problems or a slide out tray with the added great feature of an eject button. Note: as mentioned up top, be aware it connects using USB so it might not work for everyone.

This has been a have to have for our home. We home school so in order for my son to get his computer to do as we need this device is exactly what we had to have. We have no complaints. I would definitely recommend to those in need of something of this nature.

Just plug in and start using. Very easy. Quiet also.

This is an External drive for my MBP. It is fast and silent.

I am not a computer person at all and was concerned about setting up something on my own. Basically all you do is plug it in and follow the VERY simple directions in the box. Thank goodness it was so easy.

I recently purchased the USB SuperDrive external drive to view/use CDs. It was a must-have since the MacBook Pro 13.3 I also recently purchased does not have a CD port. Mahalo to the floor agents at Best Buy for their assistance!

I like the slim design of this super drive, makes portability a snap.

Easy to use right out of the box, is fast when making and reading CDs

We needed to get a DVD player as a requirement for a college class. Apparently, teacher needs the hard copy netflix dvds (no downloadable movies available). We've tried out on another DVD so far. We will use for other DVD's. Haven't tried the feature to burn discs.

It absolutely works as advertised. The cloud is great and I've moved some of my current things there. But at a lower cost in the long run, I can manage organizing and archiving some older photos, music and files onto DVD and feel confident I can find them as needed.

In a world where discs are no longer used for the most part, the super drive comes in very handy when programs are purchased that require disc use; especially, since hardly any last-tops come with disc drives.
