It's different not having a laptop that has cd drive in the computer, but I've adapted. This is a great product and works well. I never know when I might want to use it so I carry it in the pocket of my laptop sleeve (it's thin enough for me to do this, which is great as well). I don't use it every day or even once a week, but I love it regardless.

This product works great, I have no complaints! My only complaint, however (not related to this review), is that the newer iMacs should automatically come with a drive – whether it be external, or built into the iMac like the older ones. But this drive worked just fine.

The CD driver is perfect for my iMac. It works very quite and the rewrite speed meets my expectation. Easy to use just plugin and it works fine, no need any software to run this CD driver

My new MacBook didn’t come with a CD Burner. Of course I didn’t realize that until I had to burn a CD for a project I was doing. Ran out to Best Buy, bought this and had it up and running in a few minutes. Works exactly the way it should.

Use the Apple - SuperDrive with my Mac-Mini. Burns data to CDs, single and dual layer DVD's accurately. Very reliable, just don't put DVDs that have labels on them. I inserted a DVD borrowed from the Queens Public Library that needed to be pushed into the slot which damaged something inside. I could play discs but not burn any data to blank DVDs. Apple - SuperDrive has a short USB and quite slim which will fit easily in your lap top bag, but be gentle with it.
