Apple Disc Drive

Basically all you do is plug it in and follow the VERY simple directions in the box. Thank goodness it was so easy.

A necessary archive device for me

But at a lower cost in the long run, I can manage organizing and archiving some older photos, music and files onto DVD and feel confident I can find them as needed.

Needed to burn a CD.

Of course I didn’t realize that until I had to burn a CD for a project I was doing. Ran out to Best Buy, bought this and had it up and running in a few minutes. Works exactly the way it should.

Mini Drive/Maxi Performance

Adequate but delicate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use the Apple - SuperDrive with my Mac-Mini. Burns data to CDs, single and dual layer DVD's accurately. Very reliable, just don't put DVDs that have labels on them. I inserted a DVD borrowed from the Queens Public Library that needed to be pushed into the slot which damaged something inside. I could play discs but not burn any data to blank DVDs. Apple - SuperDrive has a short USB and quite slim which will fit easily in your lap top bag, but be gentle with it.

External Drive is Excellent and Reliable

You simply plug it into your computer, insert a CD and upload into your music, video or photo file. It is that easy. It is the second one I have owned, and both have been excellent quality devices.
