We home school so in order for my son to get his computer to do as we need this device is exactly what we had to have. We have no complaints. I would definitely recommend to those in need of something of this nature.

Apparently, teacher needs the hard copy netflix dvds (no downloadable movies available). We've tried out on another DVD so far. We will use for other DVD's. Haven't tried the feature to burn discs.

cd burner for new iMac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i first bought a non-mac cd burner which i ended up taking back and exchanging it for a mac product....i have learned my lesson and will always go mac! super easy to use, didn't have to find software (automatically did that with software update.) really great product (although i was surprised to find that the new iMacs don't have a cd burner on them!

Needed to burn a CD.

Of course I didn’t realize that until I had to burn a CD for a project I was doing. Ran out to Best Buy, bought this and had it up and running in a few minutes. Works exactly the way it should.

easy & efficient

I purchased a Mac mini a year ago, but chose not to buy the super drive then. I soon realized that I could not download my version of Adobe Acrobat, even though I owned the disk. I'm now fully capable of opening and editing pdf's, and burning music for long car rides (yay). I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Adequate but delicate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use the Apple - SuperDrive with my Mac-Mini. Burns data to CDs, single and dual layer DVD's accurately. Very reliable, just don't put DVDs that have labels on them. I inserted a DVD borrowed from the Queens Public Library that needed to be pushed into the slot which damaged something inside. I could play discs but not burn any data to blank DVDs. Apple - SuperDrive has a short USB and quite slim which will fit easily in your lap top bag, but be gentle with it.
