It was a must-have since the MacBook Pro 13.3 I also recently purchased does not have a CD port. Mahalo to the floor agents at Best Buy for their assistance!

My only complaint, however (not related to this review), is that the newer iMacs should automatically come with a drive – whether it be external, or built into the iMac like the older ones. But this drive worked just fine.

This is a great product and works well. I never know when I might want to use it so I carry it in the pocket of my laptop sleeve (it's thin enough for me to do this, which is great as well). I don't use it every day or even once a week, but I love it regardless.

Great match with my iMac

Great External Drive

But, in the long run, I think that this will work great as I replace my MacBooks----just pass it among the computers. Has a low profile, and looks good next to the iMac.
